Proverbs 16:24 ESV

“Gracious words are like a honeycomb,   sweetness to the soul and health to the body.”

Dearest Tribe Members,

Words are more powerful than we realize.  If you have heard any of my talks, you may remember that I emphasize the importance of which words we say and how we say them.

Below is a woman from South Africa singing a prophetic song for me; the best gifts cost no money and heal the body, mind, and spirit

I was introduced to this concept by my second grade teacher, Miss Binder. She created an experiment where the class grew three sets of seedlings. All of the seedlings received the same amount of water, soil, and sunlight for one month. We were instructed to talk to the plants every day. For one set of plants, we said terrible things to them such as “You are ugly” and “I don’t like you” and “You are stupid”.  The second set of plants we were told to say nothing and show no attention. The third set we said positive words such as “I love you” and  “You are smart” and “You are beautiful”.  She explained to us that we had to say these words with conviction and intention for the experiment to work.

Each day a group of 8 year olds spoke these words to the different groups of seedlings. At first we had a hard time saying the negative words, however Miss Binder told us to think of times in our lives when we had these feelings. We used our personal memories to help match the emotions with the words. In one month we assessed the differences in the three groups.

I will never forget that day. Miss Binder muttered under her breath “I never thought this would work!”  I remember looking at her surprised face and then looking at the three groups of plants. The first group that received our negative words and emotions had some stunted growth with some brown tips on the leaves.  The ignored group was better than the negative group. And then the positive group, wow!  These seedlings were healthy, green and flourishing.  We realized the differences in growth were a result of our words and feelings. We were children, yet even we could physically affect the vitality of these plants.

The gravity of that experiment should resonate with all of us. The scriptures have been telling us about the power of words.

Proverbs 18:21 CJB

“The tongue has power over life and death;   those who indulge it must eat its fruit.”

I encourage you to look at the work of Dr Masuru Emoto. He studied water crystals, and how they would change after prayer and different words. It is important to know that water is life, and that we are about 80% water.

This 5minute YouTube video shows the different crystalline structures of water that occur after prayer, different words, and different types of music.

I encourage you to try the rice experiment at home to see the power of the written word for yourself.

Now that we know our words have such impact, how much more is the power and glory of the Word of our Almighty Creator!

Hebrews 4:12 ESV

“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”

Hebrews 1:3

“He is the Sh’khinah, the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power.”

We must remember that words are powerful, and they are our sword of truth. We command authority and dominion through the Living Word of God. We are in a monumental time as evil is being unveiled and the prince of this world, HaSatan, is visible. It is easy to fall into fear, despair, and helplessness if you only see yourself as a person in this world.  But if you remember who and what you are, you will understand the instructions and Truth in the scriptures.

1 Peter 2:9

“But you are a chosen people, the King’s cohanim/ royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God to possess! Why? In order for you to declare the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

It takes practice to not only say the words but to be the words we say. Many people identify as Christians or being close with God yet their actions and their heart do not match the Word of God.  If we put the time into cultivating our relationship with Our Father and know our instructions are in the Bible, we will find ourselves walking in authority through His Grace.

Luke 10:19“Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.”

With Great Love and Many Blessings,
