Dearest Tribe Members,

A lady named Annie was sitting next to me in the pew. I met her only briefly a few times, no more than a simple greeting. But today I felt the urge to lean over to her and whispered, “How can I pray for you today?”

She burst into tears as she told me how her niece tried to commit suicide just a few days prior. I held her hand, leaned in and prayed with her while the worship music played.

Afterwards, Annie asked me, “How did you know to pray for me?”

“I did not know. It was the Ruach HaKodesh, the Holy Spirit that led me to you.” We both felt the Holy Spirit at that moment, a wave of comfort and love seemed to permeate the atmosphere.

“Well now I would like to pray for you. What is it that you are asking the Lord for?”

I thought about this question carefully and answered her, “Guidance, discernment, and protection.”

Annie smiled and, “Absolutely.”

We both left that service with a sense of wonder and awe at our Creator, who gives us messages and weaves together our divine appointments!

“I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them ,And crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, And not forsake them.” Isaiah 42:16 NKJV

I cannot count the times someone has called, texted, written or met with me at the most crucial times of my life, saying words that immediately lightened my burdens and let me know that Abba/ Our Father in Heaven, is always watching and listening, Each one of us can be an angel on earth for another, and each one of us can be the mouthpiece for the Ruach. How wonderful is that!

“For so the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have set you as a light to the Gentiles, That you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth.’

When I read this verse, I am reminded that there are people all around us whom God is pursuing. It may be the teenager working in a grocery store, a taxi driver, a weary single parent, or the person sitting next to you in church.

The world is full of men and women who have been crying out to God in the quiet desperation of their hearts or in the darkest part of their lives. Many do not outwardly show their pain, as our society seems to scorn sharing our true, deep emotions in favor of superficial talk and fake smiles. But God. He has a way of working in all of our lives and showing us the way. He not only hears and helps us, He shows us how to help ourselves and others! He wants to use us to be alight to others and bring them the good news of hope in Yeshua/ Jesus Christ.

Ask that Ruach HaKodesh/Holy Spirit show you those in your neighborhood or workplace who need a prayer or help. You can be a light in their lives just as others have been a light to you. It gives me a great feeling of joy and encouragement to share this journey with you and know that we are indeed in this together, one in the body of Christ.

“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of theFather and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19) NKJV

Jesus referred to Himself as the Light and we are called by Him to spread the light to a world filled with darkness.

“Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8:12 NKJV

We need each other now more than ever before. I pray for all of us, for our protection, guidance, health, and discernment.
